Betaine hydrochloride is an acidic form of betaine, the natural source of hydrochloric acid in the stomach. This is a necessary component of the digestive process as it helps the decomposition and assimilation of them.

The pancreatin in Super Enzyme Complex contains a complex which consists of the three basic enzymes- amylase, protease, and lipase. The protease acts as a catalyst in the accumulation of the protein molecules in the food owing to the chemical reaction hydrolysis. Meat is among the foods which take longest to assimilate (from 5 to 24 hours) which is where the protease will help ease abdominal heaviness. In the case of athletes who consume more meat in their food regime, the enzyme will help with protein assimilation and muscle gain. Amylase is an enzyme which assists in the speedy breakdown of complex carbohydrates to the simple sugars assimilated by the small intestine. Lipase is a digestive enzyme secreted by the pancreas also known as a gland located behind the abdomen. Lipase is responsible for fat decomposition.

The formula includes two other extracts, papaya, and pineapple. Bromelain is commonly met in pineapple while papain in papaya. They stimulate protein decomposition. The ingredients are complemented by beef bile extract, a source of cholic acid.
